COLUMBIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES 2023 ANNUAL MEETING DATE AND LOCATION.

Keith Lutz, President of the Columbia Economic Development Corporation has announced that the organization’s ANNUAL MEETING will be held on Thursday November 9, 2023 at the National Watch & Clock Museum, 519 Poplar Street, Columbia.  Lutz stated, “We gather at this time annually on the second Thursday in November to report our ‘year in review’ to our board of directors and our membership, as well as listing our goals for the upcoming 12 months.” Mr. Lutz will preside over the meeting, and Executive Director Bill Kloidt will present a month-by-month activity report for 2023.

After the report, the Corporation will be addressed by John W. Biemiller, Director-Business Retention and Expansion for the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County. Mr. Biemiller will discuss economic development activity in Lancaster County.

Those Columbia businesses that received business grants in the past year will also be recognized during the meeting including Lancaster Distillers, Columbia School of Music, Homestead Craftsman, Axel Mechanical, Golden Whisk, and Shertzer Enterprises.

The CEDC Director of the Year will be recognized, and the Executive Committee for 2024 will be confirmed by the board, and the next class of directors will be approved for a 3-year term. 

The doors to the museum will open at 6:00 PM at which time members and gusets can network and socialize. Supper and drinks will also be available. The meeting will then be called to order at 7:00 PM by Mr. Lutz. All members of the CEDC are invited to attend the meeting free of charge.
